Overview
Main identification features Elongate; head cylindrical; body compressed, especially at rear; snout short ( Yellow-brown, head and body peppered with dark dots; dorsal fin with dark front margin fading to clear at rear.

Size: 30 cm.

Habitat: burrow in sandy bottoms.

Depth: 27-247 m.

Southern Baja and the southern Gulf of California to Colombia, the Galapagos.

Chiloconger dentatus is a synonym (D.G. Smith, personal communication).
