Occurs mainly on the upper continental slope, but also known to be found at 155-1050 m depths (Ref. 114953 ). Adolescent males varied from 64.9 - 72.1 cm TL; smallest juvenile 13.4 cm TL. Egg cases described are about 9.3 - 10.7 cm long with a maximum width of about 5.1 - 5.7 cm (Ref. 75648 ).
