Overview
All stages of A. woglumi may be found throughout the year. Eggs are laid in a spiral path on the underside of young leaves in batches of up to 50. The larvae avoid direct sunlight, usually settling in a dense colony of up to several hundred in the shade on the undersides of young leaves to feed on phloem sap. Adults of both sexes feed on phloem sap.

The life cycle takes 2-4 months depending on conditions, and there are 3-6 generations per year.
