The female of this species can be distinguished by the small size and short rather sparse hairs on the thoracic dorsum. In A. plana these hairs are very short and abundant, and in A. capricornis the hairs are longer and abundant. The male of lomatii like A. santaclarae has some dark hairs on the face, but lomatii has short hairs in the center of tergum 1 and rather short antennae.

The descriptions below are based mainly on the holotype and allotype.

FEMALE. — MEASUREMENTS AND RATIOS. — Length, 8.0 mm; width, 2.3 mm; wing length, 6.2 mm; FL/FW, 0.97; FOVL/FOVW, 3.80.

INTEGUMENTAL COLOR. — Color as in scurra except hind legs entirely dark. STRUCTURE. — Antennal scape distinctly shorter than first four flagellar segments; segment 2 shorter than 3; segment 3 quadrate, length equal to 4; antenna otherwise as in scurra. Eyes each about 4.1 times as long as broad, inner margins as in scurra. Mandible, stipes and galea as in scurra. Labial palpus as in scurra but ratio about 1.0:0.5:0.5:0.7. Maxillary palpus as in scurra but ratio about 0.7:1.0:0.7:0.7:0.5:0.5. Labral process moderate in size, subtrapezoidal, deeply notched at apex, elevated; labrum below process as in scurra. Clypeus and supraclypeal area as in scurra. Face above antennal fossae as in scurra but rugulae weakly developed, dulled by coarse shagreening. Facial fovea moderate in width, separated from lateral ocellus by one and one-half ocellar diameters, length as in scurra. Vertex as in scurra but dulled by rather coarse shagreening. Genal area as in scurra but shagreening coarser.

Pronotum as in scurra but punctures obscured by shagreening. Mesoscutum and scutellum as in scurra but without unshagreened areas. Propodeum with dorsal area triangular with coarse but regular reticular shagreening; remainder of propodeum as in scurra but shagreening on dorsolateral and posterior surfaces smoother and regular. Mesepisternum as in scurra but shagreening coarser. Wings as in scurra but pterostigma slightly larger; second submarginal cell more narrowed anteriorly. Legs as in scurra but hind tibia only moderately widened.

Metasomal tergum 1 with weak apicolateral elevation, terga 1-4 punctures obscured by moderate reticular shagreening, gradulus present on tergum 4, terga otherwise as in scurra. Pygidial plate rather broad, nearly flat, rather smooth, with broadly rounded apex. Sterna 2-5 as in scurra but punctures less close together.

VESTITURE. — Generally dirty white, otherwise as in scurra except as follows: facial fovea light brown under some lightings; thoracic dorsum with short plumose hairs, intermixed with few longer hairs; surface of tibia easily visible; metasomal terga 2-4 with moderately well developed apical fasciae, broadly interrupted on tergum 2, narrowly interrupted on tergum 3.

MALE. — MEASUREMENTS AND RATIOS. — Length, 7.7 mm; width. 1.8 mm; wing length, 5.7 mm; FL/FW, 0.96; FS1/FS2, 1.50.

INTEGUMENTAL COLOR. — Color as in female but clypeus yellow except apex and two small dark spots.

STRUCTURE. — Antennae short, reaching scutellum in repose; scape slightly longer than first three flagellar segments; flagellar segment 1 as long as segments 2 plus 3; segment 2 shorter than 3 broader than long; segments 3-9 quadrate; segments 10 and 11 longer than broad. Eyes each about 3.2 times as long as broad, inner margins as in scurra. Mandible and galea as in scurra. Stipes with few long straight hairs. Labial palpus as in scurra but ratio about 1.0:0.6:0.3:0.6. Maxillary palpus as in female but ratio about 0.8:1.0:0.8:1.0:0.7:0.8. Labrum as in female. Clypeus and supraclypeal area as in scurra. Face above antennal fossae, vertex and genal area as in female.

Pronotum, mesoscutum, propodeum and mesepisternum as in female except propodeal dorsal area with coarse irregular shagreening basally, remainder of propodeum with coarser shagreening. Wings as in female. Legs as in scurra except hind tibia slightly swollen at apex.

Metasomal terga 1-4 as in female except graduli absent. Tergum 5 as in scurra. Tergum 7 with narrow, pointed pseudopygidial area. Sterna 2-5 as in female but punctures more scattered. Sternum 6 emarginate at apex.

Terminalia as in figures 34-38; note the following: gonocoxite with dorsal lobes small, pointed, apex narrow; penis valve narrow, without dorsal lamellae, apex long, slender, narrowly rounded; sternum 7 with large apical notch; sternum 8 with expanded neck region, small, posteriorly projecting lamella on underside of apex.

VESTITURE. — Generally dirty white, moderately abundant. Face and gena with some dark hairs; thoracic dorsum with moderately long hairs; pollen-collecting hairs absent; tergal hairs short, apical fasciae on terga 2-5 weakly developed, broadly interrupted on center of terga; hairs otherwise as in female.
