This species is known from just three females from western Texas. It is being described at this time because these females are distinctive and easily recognized. They can be separated from any of the foregoing species by the bright red, shiny, punctate metasoma and the dark wing membranes as described below.

FEMALE. MEASUREMENTS AND RATIOS. — N = 3; length, 8-9 mm; width, about 3 mm; wing length, M = 3.38 ± 0.362 mm; FL/FW, M = 0.95 ± 0.092; FOVL/FOVW, M = 3.84 ± 0.247.

INTEGUMENTAL COLOR. — Head black except as follows: mandible with apical half rufescent, basal half yellowish red; clypeus with narrow transverse reddish yellow macula near apical margin; antennal scape reddish yellow below. Wing veins dark brown; pterostigma red; membranes of fore wing deeply infumate in anterior two-thirds, dark brown, clear in posterior third; tegulae hyaline, yellowish red. Tarsi, tibiae, and apicodorsal areas of femora bright orange red; tibial spurs testaceous. Metasoma bright red except as follows: tergum 2 with a small dark macula on each side; tergum 1 dark brown at extreme base; other terga or sterna may be infused with dark brownish red in small irregular patches.

STRUCTURE. — Antennal scape as long as first three and three-fourths flagellar segments; flagellar segment 1 as long as segment 2 plus 3, which are broader than long and subequal in length; segment 4 quadrate. Eyes each about four times as long as broad, inner margins parallel. Malar space, mandible, and galea as in cressonii, but galea shiny, shagreening extremely weak. Labral process entire, triangular (apex thickened in one specimen), broader than long; labrum apical to process flat with weak cristae. Clypeus relatively flat; punctures deep, large, separated mostly by half a puncture width or somewhat more, median impunctate line present, narrow; surface shiny, unshagreened except at extreme base. Supraclypeal area with minute crowded punctures, shiny, lightly shagreened. Face above antennal fossae and facial fovea as in cressonii, but fovea separated from lateral ocellus by one ocellar diameter or more. Vertex short, above lateral ocellus equals half an ocellar diameter or slightly more, sculptured as in cressonii. Genal area in profile broader than eye, with distinct small crowded punctures separated by less than one puncture width; surface shiny near eye, lightly shagreened posteriorly.

Pronotum with humeral angle and complete dorsoventral ridge; surface dull, reticularly shagreened. Mesoscutum with small round punctures separated by one puncture width or less (slightly sparser posteromedially); surface shiny, reticular shagreening present, weak. Scutellum similar, but punctures sparser medially, surface unshagreened. Propodeal dorsal enclosure roughened throughout by irregular rugulae, surface finely tessellate; outside of enclosure with small punctures and dense fine tessellation. Mesepisternum with deep round punctures separated mostly by half a puncture width, dulled by fine dense shagreening.

Metasomal tergum 1 with basal area with deep distinct punctures separated mostly by one to two or three puncture widths, sparser laterally; apical area with narrow impunctate rim, basally with crowded punctures smaller than in basal area; surface shiny, unshagreened. Terga 2-3 with basal area punctures separated mostly by half to one puncture width; apical areas with narrow impunctate rims, basally punctures crowded, small; surfaces shiny, unshagreened. Tergum 4 basally with sparse punctures and dense fine tessellation. Pygidial plate sharply V-shaped, internal triangular area weakly raised. Sterna 2-4 with narrow apical areas impunctate; basal areas with crowded punctures; surfaces moderately shiny, with weak reticular shagreening.

VESTITURE. — Pale ochraceous except as follows: dorsum of thorax and terga 5 and 6 darker; basitibial plates with reddish brown hairs. Pollen-collecting hairs as in cressonii, but trochanteral flocculus complete although hairs sparse as in moquiorum. Metasomal terga 2-4 with white apical fasciae, but these all broadly interrupted medially (on tergum 3 by about one-third tergal width, by more on tergum 2 and less on tergum 4).
