This species is a southwestern form (Fig. 9) adapted to summer weather and perhaps the use of pollen from the Compositae. It can be differentiated from either cressonii or subrubicunda in either sex by the longer labral process and the shorter maxillary palpi. The female of moquiorum has a complete trochanteral flocculus and a relatively narrow facial fovea. The male of moquiorum has the sixth sternum flat and without the dense marginal fringe of short erect hairs found in cressonii and subrubicunda males.

FEMALE. MEASUREMENTS AND RATIOS. — N = 2; length, 10.0-10.5 mm; width, about 3.5 mm; wing length, 4.05-4.13 mm; FL/FW, 0.91-0.94; FOVL/FOVW, 3.67-3.93.

INTEGUMENTAL COLOR. — Black except as follows: mandible with apical half rufescent; flagellar segments 3 or 4-10 rufescent to dark brown below; wing veins reddish brown, membranes hyaline; terga with narrow apical rims hyaline; sternal apical areas hyaline; tibial spurs testaceous.

STRUCTURE. — Antennal scape as long as first three and one-half flagellar segments or more; flagellar segment 1 equals following two and one-half segments in length; segment 2 about as long as 3 and broader than long; segment 4 quadrate. Eyes each about three and one-half times as long as broad or longer, inner margins converging slightly toward mandibles. Malar space, mandibles, galeae as in cressonii. Maxillary palpus moderately long, exceeds galea by last palpal segment or more; segmental ratio about 1.0:0.9:0.6:0.5:0.5:0.6. Labial palpus with segmental ratio about 1.0:0.4:0.4:0.4. Labral process large, trapezoidal, flat, entire, shiny; labrum apical to process with weak median crista, without strong transverse sulcus. Clypeus relatively flat; punctures deep, crowded, impunctate midline narrow; surface shiny, unshagreened except basally. Supraclypeal area with small, distinct, crowded punctures, surface shiny. Face above antennal fossae with fine longitudinal rugae, sparse interrugal punctures, surface moderately shiny. Facial fovea long, extends to level below lower margins antennal fossae, narrow, separated from lateral ocellus by more than one ocellar diameter. Vertex above lateral ocellus equals about one ocellar diameter, surface dulled medially by shagreening to shiny laterally. Genal area in profile broader than eye, shiny near eye to moderately shiny posteriorly, punctures distinct.

Pronotum with distinct humeral angles and weak dorsoventral ridges; reticularly shagreened. Mesoscutum with small round punctures separated mostly by half a puncture width or slightly more, surface reticularly shagreened. Scutellum with punctures slightly larger than mesoscutal punctures, separated by half to one puncture width, surface shiny. Propodeal dorsal enclosure with fine irregular rugulae roughening basal half, tessellate; surfaces outside of enclosure with shallow punctures and coarse tessellation. Mesepisterna with small punctures separated mostly by two to three puncture widths, surface dulled by regular reticular shagreening. Fore wing with vein 1st m-cu meeting second submarginal cell beyond middle of cell.

Metasomal tergum 1 with basal area punctures minute, separated by three to four or more puncture widths; apical area with apical half impunctate, basally punctures minute, separated by no more than one puncture width; surfaces reticularly shagreened, dull. Terga 2 and 3 sculptured as tergum 1, but punctures slightly more crowded. Terga 4 and 5 similar, but punctures sparser and shagreening denser. Pygidial plate V-shaped, internal raised triangular area not evident. Sterna 2-5 with apical areas impunctate; basal areas with crowded punctures (sparser basally); surfaces moderately shiny, reticularly shagreened.

VESTITURE. — White except as follows: vertex, dorsum of thorax, and terga 5 and 6 pale ochraceous; inner surfaces tarsi pale yellow. Thoracic dorsum with hairs relatively short, plumose; pollen-collecting hairs as in cressonii except trochanteral flocculus complete but consisting of relatively sparser hairs. Metasomal terga 2-4 with pale apical fasciae of white pubescence, that on tergum 2 interrupted medially by less than one-third tergal width, on terga 3 and 4 complete.

MALE. MEASUREMENTS AND RATIOS. — N = 16; length, 8-10 mm; width, 2.5-3.0 mm; wing length, M = 3.66 ± 0.221 mm; FL/FW, M = 0.95 ± 0.035; FS1/FS2, M = 1.78 ± 0.116.

INTEGUMENTAL COLOR. — As in female except as follows: clypeus yellow except testaceous apical margin and minute dark maculae below anterior tentorial pits; parocular area with large yellow macula extending back to level of lower margins antennal fossae; supraclypeal area with large triangular yellow macula.

STRUCTURE. — Antennal scape as long as first two and one-third flagellar segments; flagellar segment 1 longer than segment 3, which is slightly longer than broad; segment 2 quadrate or broader than long. Eyes each slightly longer than three times breadth, inner margins converging toward mandibles. Malar space, mandible, galeae as in female. Maxillary palpus as in female, segmental ratio about 1.0:0.8:0.7:0.7:0.7:0.7. Labial palpus with ratio about 1.0:0.5:0.5:0.5. Labral process narrow, strongly reflexed, bidentate, shiny. Clypeus relatively flat, punctures distinct, separated mostly by half to one puncture width, surface shiny. Face above antennal fossae and vertex as in female. Genal area in profile much broader than eye, with small punctures separated mostly by one puncture width or less, shiny near eye, densely shagreened in posterior three-fourths or more.

Pronotum with well-formed humeral angle and ridge, ridge crossed by sulcus below angle; depression posterior to ridge shiny, elsewhere pronotum shagreened. Mesoscutum and scutellum as in female. Propodeum as in female, but surfaces outside of enclosure with punctures more distinct. Mesepisterna as in female, but punctures more crowded. Wing venation as in female.

Metasomal terga 2-5 as in female terga 2-4, but punctures somewhat more crowded and reticular shagreening more dense. Sterna 2-5 sculptured as in cressonii. Sternum 6 flat, apical margin not reflexed, broadly and shallowly emarginate. Terminalia as in figures 89-93. Note dorsal lobe gonocoxite elongate; sternum 7 deeply emarginate, sternum 8 entire apically.

VESTITURE. — Generally white. Metasomal terga 2-5 with apical pale fasciae, but that on tergum 2 and often tergum 3 interrupted medially. Sterna 2-5 with subapical fimbriae of long curled hairs. Sternum 6 without dense marginal fringe.
