Head, breast, and belly yellow; remainder of body, including median fins pale lavendar; very similar to A. atricaudus, but lacks blackish streak in middle part of first dorsal fin.
Size: reaches 13 cm.
Inhabits rocky reefs.
Depth: 10-30 m.
Southern California to tip of Baja California, also Islas Revillagigedos.
