Dorsal rays 7-8; anal rays 8-9; pectoral rays 22-24; caudal rays 9-10; front nostril with a divided flap; upper jaw with 2-3 pairs of rounded incisors at front followed on each side by 2-3 canines and then a row of small conical teeth; lower jaw with 4 pairs of rounded incisors followed by 2-3 canines and then a row of small conical teeth; small flattened fleshy pad on pectoral base without a free posterior margin; length of disc 2.6-2.8 in standard length; postdorsal-caudal distance 0.8-0.9 in length of dorsal fin; 6-7 rows of flattened papillae across width of front of sucker disc, 8-9 rows across rear of disc, 3 longitudinal rows on each central patch.
Yellowish tan with numerous small blue dots on dorsal portion of head and body; several darkish bars sometimes evident across back.
Size: to 3 cm.
Inhabits rocky shores.
Depth: 0-10 m?.
Panama to Colombia, and Malpelo.
