Overview | |
Plasmodium yellow. Sporocarpous or plasmodiocarpous, sessile or occasionally with weak strand-like stalks, clustered or gregarious in small colonies. Stalk, when present, yellow or straw-coloured, repent. Sporothecae globose or ovoid, 0.5-1.5 µm diam., greyish or greenish white from spores within, pure white when empty. Peridium thin, translucent, covered with a limy network. Capillitium white, open, scarcely expanded at the nodes. Spore-mass black. Spores adhering in firm clusters, broadly ovate, warted or bluntly spinose on the exposed surface, elsewhere smooth or nearly so, 13-14 µm diam.
