In the Philippines, Mt. Isarog Natural Park, Camarines Sur Province, Luzon Island.

Natural history
This species nests in logs or live trees with rotten cavities.

How to encounter
Search for their foraging columns and bait the workers with freshly caught termites or cookie crumbs. Follow the workers as they take their booty home to the nest.
