Head and anterior part of body red orange grading to dark brown posteriorly; head with 3 pink to whitish bars, 9-10 straight narrow white bars on body.
Size: reaches 3.4 cm.
Inhabits rocky reefs, cleans parasites from other fishes (frequently moray eels).
Depth: 5-30 m?.
Central Gulf of California to central Mexico.
