Overall whitish with ~7 dark greyish bars on upper half of side, also smaller dark saddles on back between each bar.
Maximum length to 5.2 cm.
Habitat: sandy bottoms.
Depth: 5-137 m.
Central Baja to the western Gulf of California, central Mexico to Colombia, also Galapagos, the Revillagigedos and Malpelo.
