Identification
Look at the face markings when checking a female H. leptocephala identification. Generally, they extend right up to the antennal socket from beneath and on the side are truncated rather abruptly at the upper level of the antennal socket. Also, the face should seem rather narrow and the pits on the clypeus fine, while those in the area of the facial markings and just above will be larger and more distinct, also quite close, especially just above the face markings.
