Origin - Native to Europe but introduced on nearly every continent.

Other info. - This species is becoming quite widespread in Missouri. It has been cultivated for cattle fodder because it does well in very poor soils and has a high protein content.
As seen in the pictures above, the flowers of L. corniculatus are quite striking and the plant does well in cultivation.
