Sola's Goby
Head round, mouth oblique; no crest along top of head and nape; head without lateral line pores; papillae around mouth, on cheeks and operculum and over eye; front nostril tubular; tongue rounded to blunt, not bilobed; 1st dorsal fin with VI spines, 2nd & 3rd spines filamentous, reaching to 4th dorsal ray; 12 dorsal rays; 9 anal rays; 21-22 pectoral rays; pelvics fused into disc; scales large, rough; head, nape, chest and pectoral base scaleless; ~27 lateral scale rows; tail short, round, with 17 segmented rays.
Red; 12 narrow blue bars on body, and 4 on head, those bars (but not the wider interspaces) with thin dark centers; lower head with brown spots.
Size: 3.4 cm.
Habitat: probably rocky substrata.
Depth: 60-100 m?.
Gorgona Island (Colombia).
