Identification
Extracted from: LaBerge, W. E. 1963. New Species and Records of Little-known Species of Melissodes from North America (Hymenoptera: Anthophriadae). Bulletin of The University of Nebraska State Muesem, Vol. 4. Pp 227-242.

This rare species was previously known only from two females and one male, all from Texas. An additional two males have been studied by the author. The new records extend the known range into New :Mexico. The new records are as follows: NE\t\' NIEXICO: Nlesilla Park (4 miles south), Dona Ana County: 2 ~ ~, September 5, 1961, on Chrysopsis hi1"sutissima, P. D. Hurd. These specimens are the property of the University of California at Berkeley.
