Greenish, sides and belly paler than back; scales dusted with brown dots; bluey-silver flank stripe with dark upper margin; tip of snout, between eyes and V-shaped area on head dark; a line of dots across top of operculum to base of pectoral; lining of operculum dark; fins all pale. Size: 17 cm. Habitat: coastal lagoons, schooling. Depth: 0-10 m?. Gulf of California to northern Peru. Attributes Abundance: Common. Cites: Not listed.
