MYROCONGER
CONGER-MORAY EELS
Body compressed, moray like; front nostril tubular, rear nostril a hole near front of top of eye; eye large; gill opening a horizontal slit under pectoral fin; pectoral fin well developed; dorsal fin well developed, origin before gill opening; lateral line reduced to a few pores on pectoral region.
This tropical genus has 4 species, one endemic to our region, and the others in the west Pacific and central Atlantic.
