Ferruginous, opaque; head and thorax very densely and confidently punctured; tips of mandibles, dot on each side of clypeus, spot behind each antenna, confluent with a spot enclosing the ocelli, a etripe on middle of meeothorax dilated anteriorly and posteriorly and inter rupted before middle, broad stripe on middle of metathorax, dot on sides of prothorax and spot above middle coxes, black; apex of flagellum fuscous, eecond joint slightly shorter than third; scutellum subbilobate; tegula opaque and coarsely punctured; wings faintly tinged with fuscous, apical margin fuscous; abdomen opaque, minutely punctured, a large round apot on aides of second segment, a band on third and fourth and tha fifth segment entirely, pale yellow; venter ferruginoue, immaculate. Length .45 inch. % ?Uead yellow ; a dot on each side of clypeus, tipe of mandible?, vertex and occiput, black; antenna ferruginous, more or less black or fuscous behind and at tip, third joint much shorter than fourth; thorax ferruginoue; meao thorax black with broad lateral margin and narrow stripe on each eida of middle ferruginoue, sometimes ferruginous with a broad median black atrip? dilated posteriorly ; scutellum more strongly bilobed than in 9 ? pootecuUllum
yellowish ; disk and lateral margin of metathorax and spot on each side of protborax black: wings hyaline, narrowly fuscous on apical margin ; abdomen yellow above, the apical margin of the segment? ferruginous; first segment ferruginous with a narrow interrupted yellow band, more or less indented anteriorly and posteriorly. Length .40 inch. Hab.?Colorado, (Ridings). Four specimens.
