Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following characters: presence of a large eye, eye diameter 7-10% HL (vs. 6-9% HL) (shared with S. patriciae ); with an ossified third basibranchial; 4-5 curved displaced hemal spines; an elongate swim bladder that extends beyond the posterior limit of the body cavity (Ref. 126780 ).
