Disc oval, relatively wide - ~61% of total length; eyes very small ( Upper surface pale tan with indistinct fine meshwork of darker lines, particularly in center of disc and tail base; lower surface white, with broad dark (grey-brown fading to tan at inner side) edging to disc.

Size: 26 cm (15 cm wide).

Habitat: benthic on soft bottoms.

Depth: 2-15 m.

Eastern Gulf of California to Panama.
