Athens-Clarke County Library

The Athens-Clarke County Library offers an array of services.  They have an online catalog to keep track of all the information available at the library.  This online catalog can be accessed from a home/office computer.  Computer stations are also available at the library.  Some of the other services the library offers are:

The University of Georgia Libraries

The University of Georgia library systems provide many services that can be accessed by the public.  At the main library, there are 53 computer workstations that allow access to Libra, Galileo, Galin, and the Web.  In addition, at the science library there are 24 more workstations available with the same capabilities.  The list below describes the uses of Libra, Galin, and Galileo.

Galin and Galileo can also be accessed from the University of Georgia Libraries web page.  However, Galileo requires a password for use from a home computer.  The University of Georgia libraries web page is also helpful because it provides information on how to use Galin and Libra.  The web page also includes additional links to University of Georgia web pages, and Athens-Clarke County web pages.

The University of Georgia library system offers a reference department web page.  Here you can find out about:

The University of Georgia Library Reference Home Page

Tutorials for Galin and Galileo are available through the University of Georgia library web page.

The University of Georgia libraries have also listed databases for specific areas of research.  The Ecology research database list can be found by clicking here.  This list provides you with the name of the database and where to look for it.  Listed below is an idea of some of the databases that are listed:
