    Leaves: The leaves are simple and opposite. They are oval shaped and 3-6" long. The bases are rounded and the veins are curved toward the distinct point. The petioles are generally short, ranging between 1/4 and 1/2".


    Twigs: The twigs are slender. They are green or purplish and they have small dark lenticels.
