Kinds

Overview
Actinobacteria are Gram-positive bacteria that are typically found in the soil, playing an important part of decomposition of organic matter. Actinobacteria can also be infectious, and inhabit plants or animals. They are typically aerobic, but certain members can grow under anaerobic conditions. Certain members of Actinobacteria, such as the Streptomyces, have pharmaceutically useful properties.
