| Andrena surda Ckll - female - (Andrenidae) in the Colorado Rockies - Female - Arkansas Park at 8100 ft (N38.81745, W106.08634) above Johnson Village, Chaffee County, Colorado. August 9, 2007. Size: L = 8 mm. Found on Machaeranthera bigelovii - Bigelow Aster. The former A.pertarda. Note the yellowish abd band on T5 which Cockerell noted as diagnostic. Broad abd bands, honey-color wing stigma. This is a montane fall species with A.hirticincta and A. nubecula in Colorado.
