| Manuel Beers found this very obscure name and date on the ceiling of the Muster Ground Extension. It is on the ceiling in a 2.5 foot (0.76 meter) high crawlway. It was difficult to photograph. Marion Smith thinks it says: D. Hatton 1814. It is one of the oldest dates in the cave. There are very few records from that period.
