The Pigeon Mountain salamander is only known from a 15 kilometer section of eastern Pigeon Mountain in Walker and Chattooga Counties in Georgia. Most of the habitat is protected within the boundaries of Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area. For more information: www.uga.edu/srelherp/salamanders/plepet.htm
