| I was a bit confused about what these were. At first I thought they were a fungus. Instead they are actually insect galls produced by the cypress flower gall midge. I can't find much information on the Internet about them. For more information: www.duke.edu/~jspippen/fungi/mushrooms.htm There are images towards the bottom of the set.
