This is the roundleaf catchfly. This plant seem to prefer growing under dry sandstone overhangs where little or no rain actually hits the plants. That is where I always seem to find it. The species is restricted to sandstones of the Cumberland Plateau provinces of Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. For more information: plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=SIRO4
