Lady's-tresses Prairie is known for a colony of the orchid Great Plains lady's-tresses (Spiranthes magnicamporum). I went there specifically to photograph the species because it is a late fall bloomer. I located eight plants. A few of them had already bloomed and all of them had been nipped by deers or something. None of them were good enough to photograph.
