| It is an important notice especially now. I understand that almost all gray bats hibernate in 10 or so caves in the southeast. They are especially sensitive to human disturbance both in the summer and winter. The species is Federally endangered and the numbers are reportedly increasing. The increase is thought to be a result of limiting human access to the caves they use.
