Florida Caverns is the only true tourist cave in Florida. According to the book "Roadside Geology of Florida" Florida Cavern is developed in the Eocene age Ocala Limestone and Oligocene age Bumpnose Limestone. This contact maybe exposed in this entrance. The Bumpnose LImestone is in the upper area of the entrance cliff. For more information: www.floridastateparks.org/floridacaverns/
