| Town Creek above the gorge is equally interesting. It is a tributary of Cemochechobee Creek which is a tributary of the Chattahoochee River. I did some research and found several references about the geology. The stream flows on top of the Paleocene age, Nanafalia Formation. On top of this formation is the late-Paleocene age, Tuscahoma Sand Formation.
