Nice Gneiss Cave is the longest cave in Dekalb County, Georgia. It is an unusual cave developed on the contact between the Lithonia Gneiss and Stone Mountain Granite. The cave is between two and three hundred feet long. In the wetter seasons there is a stream that flows through the cave. On our visit there was no water.

Marion is doing is "sex kitten" pose. This image blends natural light from the entrance on the right and light from one slaved flash on the left set at 1/16 full power. I used an unslaved flash set to 1/32 full power and painted the passage with three burst. It is difficult to control hot spots in a passage this low.
