| This diminutive orchid is autumn coralroot. I was walking around my parent's yard on a tour and spotted these small orchids. Often these flowers never open to pollinators and actually self-pollinate. This type of flower is called cleistogamous. For more information: plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=COOD7
