Osmia melanogaster Spinola, 1808



North Mediterranean species. In the sub-Mediterranean, pre-Alpine and sub-Pannonian regions of Slovenia.

Oligolectic, specialized on Asteraceae. Observed on Centaurea . Nests probably in various pre-existing cavities.

Univoltine. Flies from May to July.


Male on Serratula lycopifolia . Rakitovec, Kraški rob, June 2007.

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

Redka in ogrožena vrsta, nazadnje najdena pri Rakitovcu na Kraškem robu.
