Life   Chromalveolata

Organisms having, at some stage in their life cycle, two unequal flagella, the longer possessing rows of tubular hairs. Chloroplasts, when present, surrounded by four membranes. Major stramenopile groups include the brown algae, diatoms, and oomycetes.
