Identification
Synchlora frondaria and Synchlora aerata differ. The former has lines that are sharply dentate and somewhat offset. The latter's lines are regular or waved, not sharply dentate, and not offset. Synchlora frondaria has a southern distribution; Synchlora aerata is widespread. [See page 82 in Ferguson, D. C. 1985. The Moths of America North of Mexico. Fascicle 18.1. Geometroidea.
