Propagation of the Bloodroot
Propagation is by seed sown in the fall or by division in late summer or fall when the plant is dormant. Bloodroot can be used for naturalizing as it is native to wooded areas. A growing area with a moist, acid, well-drained soil and a light exposure of partial shade is needed (Arnold, 334).
