Save all species

What would it take to save all species forever?
Let's answer this question and work together to protect all living things from extinction.

POSTPONED
We plan to have this meeting at
Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas
in Fall, 2017.
Details to follow as we plan it and set the dates.
Please contact John Pickering if you have questions or suggestions.

We are in the process of selecting dates. Please let Pickering know about conflicts with other events. Suggested dates currently include

  • October 5-7, 2017, Thursday - Saturday
  • October 17-19, 2017, Tuesday - Thursday
  • November 14-16, 2017, Tuesday - Thursday

Decemeber 9 - 11, 2016, a team of thinkers, philanthropists, and media specialists will meet in Athens, Georgia. We will dream big and build the framework of a 30-year plan to protect all species. Our goal is to ensure that by 2050 the world has the scientific knowledge, environmental policies, protected areas, trained resource managers, technology, funding, and above all, overwhelming public support to protect species.

Discover Life will celebrate 4 billion hits and John Pickering's retirement after 32 years at the University of Georgia, Athens. It will host the meeting with support from UGA and Sam Houston State University, Texas.

We anticipate that media specialists will film the meeting and make it available online.
