Planning Meeting
If planned and coordinated with the scientific community, prescribed burns could be designed into experiments to collect critical data that we lack to develop a sound, long-term fire policy. In short, we need considerably more scientific data to manage our natural heritage wisely, minimize the risk of wild-fires and tragedy, produce wood products, and restore the health and beauty of our forests. Let's work together to collect data, develop policy, and manage our forests to meet all our collective needs.
The forum will be in Athens, Georgia, 28-30 October, 2001.
