BRIEF CV OF PANKAJ OUDHIA

Agronomist and Homoeopath by academic qualification, Pankaj Oudhia is engaged in documentation of traditional medicinal knowledge about herbs in Chhattisgarh, India as a freelance researcher. His main fields of research are Allelopathy, Ethnobotany, Agrohomoeopathy and Ethnoentomology. Oudhia has published over 112 research papers in journals of national and international repute. He has participated in over 70 science conferences, seminars, workshops etc. His over 20,000 research documents are available on-line at Botanical.com and Ecoport.org. He is writing science articles in Hindi for Indian farmers. At present, he is writing regularly in more than 18 farm magazines. He has published over 2000 Hindi science articles. He has organized two National Seminars on Indian medicinal plants. He has written four books. His effort to bring the researchers, experts, farmers, students, common persons etc. associated with obnoxious weed Parthenium hysterophorus resulted in formation of International Parthenium Research News Group (IPRNG). Pankaj Oudhia is also a nature photographer and has taken over 80,000 photographs based on his work in Chhattisgarh. Over 30,000 photographs are available on-line at Ecosport.org. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Pankaj Oudhia is a member of several scientific societies and is in the editorial board of many scientific journals. He is associated as expert (Indian languages) in searchable worldwide web. Multilingual Multiscript Plant Name Database Project (MMPND), an on-line service provided by Dr. Michel H. Porcher with the co-operation of the University of Melbourne, Australia. He was associated as Expert with DBT (Govt. of India) task force in Bio-pesticides and crop management, generated through the program formulating committee for evolving a network program on the management of Parthenium through an integrated approach under chairmanship of Dr.M. Mahadevappa. He is expert (Medicinal Plants and Insects) in State Bio-diversity Action Plan Committee, Forest Dept., Chhattisgarh Government. He has delivered over 1000 guest lectures. He is providing technical guidance for the identification, conservation, commercial cultivation, processing, marketing etc. of over 75 medicinal and aromatic herbs to the farmers around the world. His research contributions have been mentioned as reference in over 3000 post-doctorate, doctorate and post-graduate theses, dissertations and project documents in India and other countries around the world.
