What did you like most about this course?
* I enjoyed the hiking field trip and weekly trips to the botanical gardens.
* I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the encouragement for discussion in this class. Pick allowed us to take over the discussions most of the time, and I enjoyed that.
* 	Field work
* The backpacking trip, of course. Identifying species, actually, was very interesting for me, especially when I felt challenged after having a difficult time with the guides but still finding a way to identify something.
* The camping trip to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest/Wilderness Area and the macro photography.
* 	The camping trip!
* I enjoyed being thrown into an environment that I was not familiar with. I have never been on a field trip in college and the bonding experience was amazing. I felt more comfortable with some of the people in class that I have with many other classmates in my major.
* Dr. Pick He is THE MOST fascinated man I've met in my life. He is awesome, welcoming, and a passionate human being. I love his teaching style. I'm so so so happy that I took this class and was able to meet this amazing human being.
* A well structured class that has clear objectives and guides and motivates the students to go out and explore. I already had a great appreciation for nature, but this just helped me to appreciate even more. Good job Pick!
* 	No tests
* 	Low commitment
* Camping trip, independent projects and the scope of work done through them, book reports were an effective and enjoyable way to learn of environmental threats from a variety of authors with varying viewpoints, emphasis on getting to know and being able to work with other classmates, ties back to scientific methods and research, being able to contribute to a widely accessed online resource
* 	more mothing!

How could this course be improved?
* It could have more learning inside the classroom. Class meetings were sort of like "here is what needs to be done, go do it" instead of actually doing what needed to be accomplished in class.
* Having more time to discuss the book reports.
* 	more field work!
* The big project seemed too large for the class itself to handle, especially with the time given.
* I really can't even think of an answer to this question. The course has been amazing.
* 	More class days.
* Some of the expectations for the GNHS were very unclear to my group. Pick kept throwing stuff at us, without truly explaining what we were supposed to do. Most all of the things we did were explained by Nancy who was translating what we told her that Pick had told us. It was frustrating at times because we were not sure if we were on the right track.
* Maybe every now and then give out grades so that we could see where we stand in the course.
* 	More field trips
* If camping trip is required, it should count for more than 15% of the grade
* A way of implementing the plans of the independent projects.
* 	more camping
