Brown on dorsal surface of head and body, whitish on ventral surface; a pair of black-rimmed orange ocelli (eye-spots) straddling middle of back.
Size: grows to 15 cm.
Inhabits sand and mud bottoms.
Depth: 20-115 m.
California to the Gulf of California to Peru, Cocos and Malpelo.
