This species is known only from a few males. It is related to A. scurra but has a very shiny, nearly unshagreened galea, a smoother propodeum and different genitalia (Figs. 49-53).

The description below is based mainly on the holotype.

MALE. — MEASUREMENTS AND RATIOS. — Length, 9.5 mm; width, 2.3 mm; wing length, 6.9 mm; FL/FW, 0.97; FS1/FS2, 1.14.

INTEGUMENTAL COLOR. — Color as in scurra but clypeus lighter yellow, legs entirely dark.

STRUCTURE. — Antennae rather long, reaching propodeum in repose; flagellar segment 1 slightly longer than segment 2, segment 2 longer than broad; antenna otherwise as in scurra. Eyes each about three times as long as broad, inner margins as in scurra. Mandible and stipes as in scurra. Galea pointed, moderate in width, surface very shiny, shagreening extremely weak apically, absent basally. Labial palpus as in scurra but ratio about 1.0:0.5: 0.3:0.8. Maxillary palpus surpassing galea by less than last two segments, segmental ratio about 0.8:1.0:0.8:0.8:0.5:0.8. Labrum as in scurra but process larger, more triangular. Clypeus and supraclypeal area as in scurra. Face above antennal fossae as in scurra but with rather coarse shagreening, moderately dull. Vertex above lateral ocellus normal, about as high as one and one-half ocellar diameters, moderately dull. Genal area as in scurra but with moderate shagreening.

Pronotum as in scurra. Mesoscutum and scutellum as in scurra but entire surfaces with rather coarse shagreening. Propodeum with dorsal area triangular with coarse but regular shagreening, few basal rugulae; remainder of propodeum as in scurra but shagreening on dorsolateral and posterior surfaces smoother and more regular. Mesepisternum as in scurra but reticular shagreening rather coarse. Wing venation as in scurra but vein 1st m-cu meets second submarginal cell just beyond center of cell. Legs as in scurra but hind tibia rather slender.

Metasomal sculpturing as in scurra but terga 1-4 less shiny, punctures less distinct, further apart; sterna 2-5 with punctures further apart. Sternum 6 as in scurra.

Terminalia as in figures 49-53; note the following: gonocoxite with dorsal lobes short, broadly rounded, apex narrow; penis valve without dorsal lamellae, apex long, narrow; sternum 7 with large apical notch; sternum 8 with apex slightly broader than neck region, apex with tiny emargination.

VESTITURE. — Generally white otherwise as in scurra except apical abdominal fasciae broadly interrupted on center of tergum 2.
