Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal soft rays (total): 10; Anal soft rays : 19 - 22. Its elongated body with greatest depth 24.6-29.8% of SL; lack of dark pigmentation on the distal tips of the caudal fin; 3 or 4 maxillary teeth. Bryconamericus lambari is further distinguished from B. iheringii by the shallower body depth and shorter pelvic fins; distinguished from B. stramineus in its absence of a conspicuous and wide midlateral stripe (present in B. stramineus ).
