Overview
Sporocarps crowded. Sporotheca erect, usually bronze-red and iridescent but fading to ochraceous, 0.8-1.0 mm diam. Stalk stout, furrowed, up to 2 mm long, expanded noticeably into the sporotheca. Hypothallus conspicuous, silvery. Peridial cup large and with numerous dark ribs radiating up from the base, iridescent, with many perforations in the upper part. the margin irregularly lobed and toothed and merging imperceptibly with the net. peridial net with nodes dark with calcic granules 1-2 µm diam., the threads slender, sometimes dichotomously branched. Spore-mass dull yellow. Spores almost colourless, slate-grey.
