Echinostelium corynophorum
Overview
Sporocarps 90-150 µm tall. Stalk 50-110 µm long, tapered upward from an expanded base which sometimes contains granular matter, 1.5-3 µm diam. at the apex. Sporotheca 40-60 µm diam., white. Columella hemispheric, borne on a short projection of the stalk, hyaline to yellow brown, 3-5 µm diam., 3.5-6 µm high. Peridium remaining as a 2.5-5 µm diam. collar at the base of the sporotheca Spore-mass white. Spores hyaline, globose, 10-15(-16) µm diam., minutely roughened, bearing pads at points of spore-to-spore contact.
