Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10; Anal spines : 1; Anal soft rays : 9; Vertebrae : 26. Ground color off-white; a large, circular brown spot antero-dorsal to pectoral- fin base; small, brown spots on snout, cheeks, opercula, pectoral-fin base and nape; all fins spotted. Predorsal scales 8. Cycloid scales on nape and isthmus. Cheeks and opercula fully scaled. Spines I-IV of 1st dorsal fin filamentous, III longest; characterized further by having pointed caudal fin, less than 25% SL; longitudinal scale series 31-32; depth of body 3.4-3.5 in SL (Ref. 90102 ).
