Iridescent blue on back and upper sides, silvery below; pectoral "wings" greyish; dorsal fin largely blackish. Size: grows to 25 cm. Habitat: pelagic in surface waters. Depth: 0-5 m?. Endemic to the eastern Pacific, ranges from California to the Gulf of California to Peru and Clipperton and the Galapagos. Attributes Abundance: Common. Cites: Not listed.
